Introducing Dodger Kiko Michael

 

 

 

Meet our newest family member, Dodger! He is a Holland lop bunny, and we are all smitten with him. He is super cute, soft, and very friendly. He has brought us so much joy. Dodger eats fresh carrot tops from the garden daily (carrots are too sugary), and lives in a plush high rise condo. He is already litter box trained, and I've changed it every time so far without resentment. It's funny, I think I enjoy him the most. I find it totally relaxing to watch him hop around the backyard, swipe at his whiskers, and play with his toys. Dan wants to know when I'm going to get another one. You never know...

Here's a little glimpse of our home in February. Lilly says I am really improving in my chalkboard skills, and I love having past and present art projects displayed on their old crib mattress frame. We read tons of Valentine themed books throughout the month, and discuss how we can show kindness and love to those around us. I took the girls to get their pictures taken together after Iris was born, and have taken Valentine pictures ever since. Pulling these photos out of the February box brings me so much joy, and I'm glad I have stuck with it!

 

 

Oh Christmas Tree

Getting a tree was so pleasant this year,

we decided to get some ice cream on the way home!

The girls just had to make their dolls mini trees!

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas and I'm really trying to soak it all in this year. It often feels like it's over before I have a chance to enjoy it. I finished most of my shopping in the summer, had our cards printed in November, and filled our Advent calendar with Bible verses, simple activities, and no candy. Here's to a blessed Christmas season.

Back to School Decor & Ball Jar Caddie

Back to School is something to be celebrated. In this house, that means printing out posters and buntings found on Pinterest, taking out my old crayons (thanks, mom for saving them), and setting out vintage school supplies. This summer, I asked Dan to build a supply holder for Ball jars. We bought a new desk for the girls and I envisioned the caddie being a divider between the two work spaces.

Dan's creation knocked me off my feet. He is a true craftsman. His ability to transform wood into things of beauty is truly a talent, and his attention to detail is amazing. I love the way he coordinated the two different woods together. Too bad he has a full time job, three kids, a wife, and a lawn to mow. I'm sure he will be taking orders when he retires!
