Sew Crafts Saturday: New Dress and Potty??
I made Lilly this dress using two bandannas. It was super easy, quick, and a lot of fun to do. I love instant gratification projects. I had seen the dress online in a couple of places awhile ago, so I'm not sure where the idea came from, but it isn't mine. I would definitely make some for all the little girls in our lives. It can even be a little tank top for older girls. Anyway, more importantly and coincidentally, LILLY WENT PEE-PEE IN THE POTTY for the first time yesterday (wearing her new dress). I just about cried. She was soo proud of herself. Lilly is growing up so fast and I'm not sure if I like it!

Wee-Ones Wednesday: Warm Nights
Now that is is staying light longer and it is warmer, we have been spending a lot of time outside. We love having friends over to eat and hanging out in the backyard. The kids can make a mess, play in the garden, run, blow bubbles, and use sidewalk chalk to their hearts content. Iris, of course, can sleep to her hearts content!!

Misc. Monday: 7 Weeks
Iris is 7 weeks old today. She is so much fun. She smiles all the time now and is growing soo fast. We call her the pink Buddha. Lilly pronounces it, "Pinkah Buddha." Her hair is still reddish, and I'm praying it stays. Her eyes are still blue, and Dan is praying those don't change either. Only time will tell...

Sew Crafty Saturday: Cousins
Welcome to my new blog address. I am going to try to stick to the old schedule as much as possible. I haven't had much time to be crafty due to my little bundles of joy keeping me on my toes, but I recently completed a project I had been dying to do.
We are very excited to announce that Lilly and Iris have a new cousin on the way! My sister and her new husband are expecting their first child in December. Baby Iris and New Baby will have their first Christmas together. How wonderful is that? I made the new baby this blanket using a tutorial found over at the Purl Bee. It was the first time I ever sewed ricrac into the edge of a blanket. I had to do it twice, but I am very pleased with the results and Penny loves it. Yay!
