Iris is still one of the easiest babies I have ever met. I keep thinking, "Will this be the day she becomes difficult?" But no, she is as happy and as content as can be. She has learned a new trick from her sister... She is a chatterbox. She squeals, laughs, squawks, and coos constantly. I think she knows she's going to have to be pretty loud to keep up with her big sis.

Wee-One Wednesday: Summmmertime
We are really enjoying summer over here: sun, water, picnics, playdates... My girlfriend Leslie came over on Saturday to hang out with her daughter, Alyssa. The girls have sooo much fun together. They are just a few weeks apart in age & are just learning to take turns and share. It's so cute! Leslie and I got to sit on a blanket under the avocado tree with Iris and catch up with each other while the girls played together. It was amazing!

Sew Crafty Saturday: Onsies Galore
I made these onesies using fusible webbing. It was so fun and easy! The deer that Iris is wearing is the same one from her wall and I traced some wooden toys to make the giraffe and elephant. They will be gifts. I plan on making some more and using my new sewing machine to blanket stitch around the appliques. Yes, I got a new sewing machine and she is amazing! I couldn't be happier. Now I just need to find the time to play with her.

Wee-One Wednesday: 3 Months
Iris is now 3 months old. It's hard to believe she has been with us that long, yet I can't imagine her not being a part of our lives. Here are some of her 3 month portraits. They were emailed to us from Picture People, so they are protected and tiny. That doesn't really matter because you can still see how cooperative and happy she is.

Sew Crafty Saturday: Summer Crafting
I have finally completed some summer crafting that I have been dieing to do. I have a super long list of things I want to make, but time still seems to get away from me. I made these skirts using a 20 minute tutorial over at grosgrain fabulous. They were super simple and Lilly was excited to look like her Mommy. I also embroidered this little dog onto a kitchen towel, and have finally started Iris' scrapbook. I have been saving for a new sewing machine for over two years now and am deciding between a Baby Lock or a Janome. If you know anything about these two brands, please let me know. I am so excited to bring a new electronic machine home, but am overwhelmed with the shopping experience. Did you know that a sewing machine dealer is just like a car dealer. I got one lady to go down by $100 on the price just by calling her back and telling her what prices I found on the internet. Who knew sewing machines were such a racket?

Wee One Wednesday: Dress up
Well the time has arrived, Lilly likes to dress up. My friends' daughters are really in to dressing up like princesses. Lilly is the youngest of the bunch and didn't seem to get it. I kind of thought we might even dodge the bullet since she is pretty active, but no. Here she is in a "Fancy Nancy" get up my mom got her. She also got very creative one day and put on all her accessories. Dan even helped her a bit since she got a bit frustrated when things were falling off her head. She loves to look at herself in the mirror and be very dramatic. Yesterday I asked her if she wanted to talk to her grammy on the phone and she said, "No. I'm too stressed to talk." Seriously! Who says that because I know I didn't teach her that.
