Sew Crafty Saturday: Happy Heart Day

Lilly had so much fun at her preschool Valentine's Day party yesterday. She loves all her cards and says, "Will you be my Valentime?". A few days before, she helped me make some dish towels for her teacher and grandparents. I'm so excited for tomorrow. The scavenger hunt is all planned out (super simple), and we are eating heart pancakes for breakfast and heart grilled cheeses for lunch. We are even baking a heart chocolate cake. I also found these super cute greetings to put around Dan and Lilly's toothbrushes at http://www.twigandthistle.com/ to jump start our day. They say cute things like, "You're the toothpaste to my tooth brush" and "I've got a sweet tooth for you."

Wee-Ones Wednesday: Ten Months

Iris is ten months old, and loves to dance, knock over things, and stand up every chance she gets. The minute music comes on, she laughs and rocks back and forth. She loves to pull herself up to stand and let go for as long as she can before falling to her little bottom. Iris is also the queen of mimicking sounds. One of her favorite things to do is say, "Dada" when I tell her to say, "Mama."

We are getting ready for Valentine's Day around here. Lilly has her first party at preschool, so we decided to make her Valentine's, instead of buy them. They are little butterflies. We found the pattern at http://www.skiptomylou.org/ She had a lot of fun making the first few, but tired out before I thought she would. I made these little banners for the girls' bedroom doors too. The pattern is at the same place. I also finished these bags for the girls to fill next Sunday with little goodies. I'm excited it's on the weekend this year; I have heart foods and a possible scavenger hunt planned. What fun!!

Wee-One Wednesday: Baby Dedication

We had a private baby dedication at our home for Iris. It was a lovely day. The rains had just ended and the sun was shining brightly. All of her loved ones were here to love her and support us. The Bible verse we chose for Iris is: Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God's masterpiece.He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."
