Misc. Monday: Hendricks California Michael

Going to the hospital... the last time we are a family of four.

I got to pull him out and be the first one to hold him!
He was 8.7 pounds, a whole pound heavier than his sisters!

My new little man.

Dan wore the Angels hat he had made for his father, so Papa could be with us.

The girls kept saying, "He's sooo cute!"

Lilly has been quite the helper, while Iris on the other hand has begun crawling around the house and trying to eat from my tummy.

Every time Hendricks started to cry, the girls would laugh.

Our Family of 5

Isn't he handsome?

Our hair is the exact same color!

Dan, Lilly, and Iris were brought home from the hospital in this Mustang, and Dan & I drove it home from our wedding.
Henry's birth was so much fun! The delivery lasted about four minutes, and I got to help pull him out. There was laughing, clapping, and bets were placed on what color his hair would be. One of the baby nurses said she has never seen anything like it, and my OB doctor told me I should open a surrogacy website. Hendricks could not have been born into a more joyful room. We are so blessed to welcome our new baby boy into the family. The girls are in LOVE! Lilly wants to read to him, hold him, and help me all she can. Iris wants to join him. She "goo goo ga ga-s," crawls around the floor, and wants to eat from my tummy. I see many good times in the years to come!

Misc. Monday: Party of Four

It's getting closer to delivery time, and I can't help but be nostalgic for our little party of 4. I look around the house and there are so many small things that will have to change. Photos, Anthropologie letters that they don't make any more...
I took the girls out to a ladies' lunch today and bought them hot fudge sundaes that I knew they would be too full to eat just to watch the excitement on their little faces. They know their baby brother will be here soon, and they are beyond ready to meet him... and you know what? So is their mom!

Sew Crafty Saturday: Foxy Nursery 3

The baby in the pot is who Hendricks is names after. The other photo is Dan and his dad. The Jack in the Box was mine, and the Harley bank is from G.pa John.

We got the vintage tin ranch house from the Pasadena flea market. It says Bar-M-Ranch, which is perfect for our last name!

The crib bedding was pieced together this time. Lilly had a modern Dwell set, and Iris had a pretty fancy set by MIGi.  Boy bedding seemed so predictable, that I decided to make the quilt myself.

The fox banner and brown balls are from my shower.

The prints were found on Etsy, and the books are from Baba Betsy & Auntie Heather.

Dan says no little boy's room is complete if it doesn't have antlers.

I couldn't find a lamp shade for Lilly's old lamp, so I covered it with twine.

I think the rug looks like woodland grass. Remember the little fox pillow I made?
The nursery is just about done. You can see the progress here and here. We are just finishing up the name wall (behind the crib), and waiting for the baby. Seriously, what does a girl have to do to have a baby around here? Iris was here by now. Sheesh!

Wee-Ones Wednesday: Little Ladies Update

Have you noticed that Iris LOVES to dress up? It seems like she is in costume every time we turn around and practically every post has her in some sort of dress up - get up! She loves to push a stroller around, undress her babies, and put them to bed. She even talks for her babies and sings them lullabies.

Lilly, on the other hand, is our little crafter and pre-reader. She knows all her letters and sounds, can sound out simple words & read quite a few sight words, and loves to make lists of rhyming words all by herself. She learned about a garage sale on the cartoon "Max and Ruby" and was determined to have one because she is saving for a new Leapster game. I told her she had to wait until summer, so she went ahead and held an art sale instead. Her grandmothers bought so much art she was able to buy the Tangled game the very next day!

Fab Find Friday: Another Year Older

I found myself another year older this past Wednesday. I'm not sure how this keeps happening to me. Ha!!

Wee-Ones Wednesday: XOXO Scavenger Hunt

Valentine's Day started out with traditional roses from Daddy, and heart shaped toast before preschool and work. The afternoon was filled with opening Valentines from our friends, a simple scavenger hunt, and bubble play outside. Heart shaped pizza and chocolate covered strawberries finished off the evening. We had so much fun!

Misc. Monday: Sweetheart Valentine

We have a collection of photo booth pictures that we LOVE, so I decided to use them to make Dan's Valentine for this year. I bought a frame from Ikea, taped the pics in place, added a message with scrap booking stickers, and viola - an instant Valentine for my sweetie!

Sew Crafty Saturday: Valentines

Lilly and I have been working diligently on our Valentine's this year. We melted crayon hearts for her class and I made her teachers dish towels. We have a small surprise in the works for the grandparents, and I have a fun Valentine planned for Dan. He reads this, so I'll have to share that one a little later!
I love Valentine's Day! I was off from work last year (you have to check out the photos; I can't believe how much they've grown!), and had so much fun baking, putting together a scavenger hunt, and eating heart shaped food. We will still do those things this year, but it will have to take place after work.
Have a fun day! xoxo
