Road Trip: Days 5 & 6

 

 

 

 

 

 

DAY FIVE

We left Lodi and headed on to Reno. The car ride was very pleasant. We made  a few stops along the way. Ikeda's California Country Market in Auburn was amazing. A few friends told us we had to stop and we are so glad we did, we had lunch at bought a few snacks. Next, we went to the Nevada Discovery Museum. I think it is the best hands-on, children's museum we have ever been to. After playing, we headed to our sweet friends' house where we stayed the next two nights. Amie made us a delicious dinner, and we met the largest dogs we have ever seen.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

DAY SIX

We spent the entire next day in Virginia City, Nevada. It was beyond fun! We ate ice cream, panned for gold, visited an underground mine, an old school house, an old cathedral, an old fire station, mailed ourselves postcards, ate pizza, took old fashioned pictures, rode a steam train, bought souvenirs, and the girls played tambourine with an old musician. Memory making, I tell you!
