Wee-Ones Wednesday: Iris Update

Iris got this bag cookies out of the pantry by herself, took a bib out of the drawer and put in on backwards, and sat down to have a snack. Look how proud she is!

She would not let us leave her purse in the car when we visited the CSUF arboretum.

She loves "It's A Small World" at Disneyland.

Her favorites at her Toddler Gym class are: crawling through the tunnel, doing somersaults with Miss Lori, and playing with her friend, Adam.
Baby Iris is now 18 months old. She still doesn't say much, and grunts often. Dan calls her, Baby Ugg, because she's our cave baby. She's very good at "bye-bye, cookie, hi guys, ball, baby, and dog." It's a bit strange because at this age, Lilly could carry a conversation. Yet, there are so many things that Iris does that Lilly never did. Iris opens doors, she points to her diaper when she goes, and even brings me a new one to change her into! She will come up to you, take your hand, and pull you over to what she wants if she can't get it her self. She can follow directions with ease, puts her dirty clothes in the hamper, and sneaks snacks as well as Lilly's toys. She even sits on the toilet before bath time. She wants to be just like her sister and ride a trike, drink from a cup, sit in a booster, write in a journal, and put on her own shoes . Both girls have amazing dance moves and love music. Iris is a major cuddler, she often puts her head on our shoulders. It's so precious! She still loves her blankies and drags them around where ever we go. She also loves to carry a purse.
