Christmas Eve was lovely. We went to a small Presbyterian Church with the Givens family, and Grammy & Papa. It was so nice to sing carols and praise Jesus for all that he has done for us. Then everyone came back to our house and (patiently waited) to eat dinner. Iris went to sleep promptly after dinner. Quentin helped Lilly leave out the oats for Santa's reindeer. After everyone had gone, Lilly and I left Santa some milk and rice crispy bars. Then she got to give our elf, Buddy, a hug and kiss good-bye because she won't see him again until next year. If you know the story of "The Elf on the Shelf," this is our family's special twist. She was elated!
